What a beautiful setting to photograph this wedding! I got to photograph this photograph on April 14, 2018 at the Claremont Inn & Winery in Stratton, Colorado. I had never been to Stratton, Colorado before, it's about a 2 hour east drive from Denver, Colorado. It was really windy that day, and I was lucky to just have missed the storm that happened the day before, so the drive out was easy, but windy (I guess it is windy pretty often out in the east plains of Colorado, we passed by semi trucks that had tipped over along the way the day before)!
The wedding was inside the beautiful Claremont Inn & Winery just off the I-70, and what a beautiful building with tall ceilings and beautiful tall windows!! Beautiful marble floors when you first walk in, and all the guests (about 30 guests total) stayed at the Claremont Inn for 2 nights over the weekend of the wedding. I really thought this was a neat idea for all the guests to get to stay at the wedding location. There were room upstairs and rooms down below the main floor, and also a nice kitchen and bar area that the guests where everyone could dine. They even gave me coffee when I arrived! Very nice staff and he even showed me around and provided nice photography location recommendations. We didn't get to take any photos outside because it was so windy and cold, but it wasn't needed because inside was such a beautiful setting for photos. From the arches on the second floor which made for great photos from down below, to the fireplace with a huge mirror above, and the windows on the second floor made for nice photos as well.
Grace and Angel had met more than 10 years before getting married, and they were delightful to take photos of, as well as their family. I love seeing being able to capture love, and letting my photos tell their unique love story... :)
