I luckily picked out a bunch of different poses that I like before their engagement session, and then the sister (who graciously arranged for their engagement photo session) mentioned they want to be posed as they are nervous in front of a camera. So I was glad I spent so much time picking out some fun and romantic poses. My favorite pose and photo of all is the first one below, where they are facing away from me the photographer kissing in front of the beautiful Grand Lake! We started the engagement photo session at Point Park in Grand Lake, there is a small parking lot there for a little less than 10 cars, we arrived early so we would get a spot, but there was not many people there since it was December 27th, in the middle of winter and during the holidays! Which was nice because I enjoy photographing couples when there aren't many people around. We got some photos in the beautiful pine trees at Point Park, and then of course some photos with the Grand Lake and mountains in the background! There was a cute little bench to get photos at as well. We then headed over to East Inlet Trailhead and got some photos there; they put on their ski gear for fun, all in all it was a really fun photo shoot and the couple seemed to enjoy themselves too and have fun, which is all I can ask for!

Another beautiful venue, Willow Ridge Manor is an adorable spot for a reception. It's a cute white building located in Morrison, with pretty windows, one of the nicer reception venues I have seen! It really has a cute charm to the building, and Jessica and Adam and all their guests were lucky to have their reception there. There is also some nice red rocks that made for great photos after Jessica and Adam's first dance, we headed outside to get more photos with the bridal party (since we hadn't been able to get the photos we wanted at the park since it started raining). The rain had stopped again, so I was able to get some adorable photos of Jessica and Adam in the red rocks!

And back to Caitlin and TV's lovely wedding! Their wedding was very intimate, the bride's mom and dad and sister with there, and along with a couple of other family friends. They were one of the nicest groups of people I have ever photographed, and ever met! TV's parents (from India) could not make the ceremony, and the couple asked me a couple weeks before the ceremony if I could do a simple video of their wedding for TV's parents, and I was happy to provide that for them as well. We started with photos with everyone at the Point Park, directly located on the Grand Lake, with gorgeous mountain views, and then we headed straight to the ceremony that took place at the Grand Lake Lodge, overlooking the beautiful Grand Lake. :) As I got some photographs of just Caitlin and TV after the ceremony, the mom then invited my fiance and I to join them for dinner and drinks at the Huntington House Tavern, which is the lodge's only restaurant, of course with beautiful views overlooking THE Grand Lake. I got to capture some special moments at the dinner of them and some of the toasts that they did after dinner in the common area of the Lodge. It was just such a beautiful wedding and the perfect cloudy day for photos; the rain went away just for them, just in time for photos! Can you see how much they love eachother in the photos?!

Now for some of my favorite wedding photos that I captured this year so far :)
On January 19, 2019, David and Sara got married at Chief Hosa Lodge, in Golden, Colorado. This was my first time ever photographing a wedding at Chief Hosa Lodge, and it was so much fun photographing this adorable couple. This was one of the cutest ceremonies I have ever seen, just because you could tell how much David and Sara love each other just by the way they were looking at each other during the ceremony. I am typically so focused on photographing all of the key moments during the ceremony, and I still was, but I couldn't help but be drawn into the mood and the endearing looks that the couple were giving each other. I arrived at noon and Sara and David weren't getting ready yet, so I started with taking photos of the table decorations and their cake, etc inside of the Chief Hosa Lodge, and then when Sara the bride was getting ready in the cozy little bridal room, I got photos of her putting on her beautiful white dress with her mom and other family members there. I got a few photos upstairs David the groom upstairs while he was putting on his tuxedo and then the ceremony took place in the side room at the Chief Hosa Lodge. It was a cold day in January with snow on the ground, so we just got some quick photos of the bride and groom outside on the porch of Chief Hosa Lodge, it was a beautiful setting for outdoor photos, and it was cloudy, which made for great photos! We then came back inside Chief Hosa Lodge and I got more family photos, and then I then took a bunch of candids of the guests (it was a small wedding of about 70 guests), the bride and groom dancing, and at the end we went to the beautiful lookout spot showing the mountains in the background to get photos before I was done photographing for the day. Looking back at their wedding photos, I just can't get over how cute David and Sara were together that special day at Chief Hosa Lodge. I feel so honored to have been chosen as their wedding photographer for their lovely wedding at Chief Hosa Lodge, in Golden, Colorado.

Anyways back to this wedding that I wanted to share, of this couple who eloped in Hawaii, on the Big Island of Hawaii, where I was born and raised. I loved photographing the playful and fun interactions that this cute couple had on their wedding day. I feel very lucky to have photographed weddings on the beautiful beaches in Hawaii, and still go back there time to time to visit and photograph weddings, so let me know if you would like to me to photograph your wedding in Hawaii, or anywhere in Colorado, whether it be Vail, Breckenridge, Grand Lake, Evergreen, Loveland, Colorado Springs, Denver, Golden, Fort Collins, really anywhere!

The couple wanted a first look, so we did the first look where they were staying at (a little cabin at the Western Riviera Lodge) right in the town of Grand Lake, at the grand lake itself. Then they had a lovely ceremony at Point Park in Grand Lake, where they just said their personal vows to each other, it was so sweet and intimate, with just their family there. They didn't have an officiant, because you don't need an officiant in Colorado to get married! So it was just me, the photographer, and the couple and their family. Point Park is located on the west side of Grand Lake, so we got some lovely photos of everyone right on the lake in Point Park. We then headed back to the town area Grand Lake, and finished off with some photos with the christmas trees right there on the main street in Grand Lake. It was a beautiful sunny day, and there was luckily snow on the ground, so it made for a perfect wintery wedding for the couple! One of my favorite weddings I have photographed so far in Colorado.

I loved the dynamic of this couple, they were both from Russia, and they had such a playful and cute interaction that I captured in their wedding photos. And the bride was just beautiful I thought, her dress and veil, her happiness shows in her smiles! My next wedding is in December in Grand Lake, and it will be just the couple and the bride's parents, I am excited that it will be another small wedding that I get to photograph, and of course I always love getting to photograph weddings in the mountains of Colorado, this will be my second wedding that I get to photograph in Grand Lake. The next one after that will be in Black Hawk, Colorado, that will be my first wedding that I photograph there, and that will also be of just the couple. :) My first wedding in the new year will be at Sapphire Point near Breckenridge and Frisco Colorado, and that will be another small and intimate wedding. I met the bride and I am excited to get photos of her and her groom at Loveland Pass before the ceremony. The following wedding will be in Vail, Colorado, at Larkspur Dining and Events, and I don't know what the bride looks like as I haven't met her yet, but that will be my biggest wedding yet, for 8 hours. And then I will have another wedding in February in Loveland. I am getting to do weddings in various locations in Colorado throughout the winter, more weddings than I ever expected in the winter time. Colorado must be a popular winter wedding destination spot. Lucky me!! And back to the wedding photos, one of my first few weddings that I photographed at Kikaua Point in Hawaii... :)
I have been wanting to do this for a while now, and I am finally getting to it. I wanted to pay tribute to my dear cat Snickers who had to leave this world too soon; I am grateful for the 15 years that I got to spend with her. She was the most special kitty, she followed me for 15 years, we moved to so many different places and she adapted to traveling since I loved traveling. She was truly a unique kitty and I miss her so much every day. I wanted to share my favorite photos that I took of her, and I am so glad that I am a photographer because I took a lot of photos throughout her life! I couldn't have imagined finding a better kitty, from the moment I saw her at the Petco in Richmond, California, the humane society had brought kitties there for people to adopt, I knew she was my kitty! So here's to you, Snickers, thank you for being the best kitty and for showing me how it feels to have such the greatest unconditional love. We got to take her on our travels with us many times, she loved being in nature. She will forever be missed. I especially will miss her when I get married, as I always wanted to have her there at my wedding with me. I had wanted to get married next to a creek in Sedona and stay at an airbnb with her, and even have a photographer take photos of us all together. She will be there in spirit I know, but we will still miss her.
I would love to take photos of your pet to have for you to remember them too... :)

I lived in San Diego for a short time; my favorite wedding that I photographed while I was living there was in Ranch Bernardo. It was at a beautiful large estate with tall tall ceilings that made for beautiful photos of the bride and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready. The whole wedding party was photogenic, the photos turned out just beautiful! Such a beautiful wedding in a beautiful setting!
I now currently reside in Colorado, in the cute little neighborhood of Sunnyside in Denver Colorado. I went to college in Boulder and never thought I would be living here again in Colorado, but here I am! Boulder Colorado is a beautiful place, one of the highlights of my life, I loved going to college there. Colorado has so many beautiful mountains, some of the best wedding locations! My favorite wedding that I photographed here so far was a small and intimate wedding in the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, at the trailhead Upper Meadows. It was a gorgeous location was expansive views of the mountains, and the ceremony spot was in the middle of the field where everyone could enjoy the serenity of the mountains.
The first photo below is of my brother and his fiance, Darcy, it was so much fun taking photos of them at the Four Seasons on the Big Island of Hawaii. Had to start out this post honoring my brother and his girlfriend first. :)

1. Crested Butte favorite 1 (above) - we can take you to this exact location, with beautiful mountains and aspens trees surrounding you, and a river running below, to get married in Crested Butte, Colorado! Hardly any one around, this was in June of 2017, there is snow on the mountains even in the middle of summer! Out of all the places I have visited, I would say Crested Butte is one of the most beautiful locations in Colorado and even the world, to get married. (Crested Butte is about 4-5 hours one way from Denver, Colorado).
2. Crested Butte favorite 2 - This was also another secret place we discovered in our travels around Crested Butte in Colorado. With a beautiful backdrop high up in the mountains, you feel like you are on top of the world! And yes those are aspen trees you see there in the photo. This would be an amazing spot for wedding photos with the beautiful mountains in the background and hardly any one around (just a few people camping). You will truly feel on top of the world on your wedding day at this location! There is a river running nearby, and also rivers that we could stop at along the way for photos!
3. Dallas Creek Divide - Another one of our favorite spots we camped at in Colorado, just past Ridgeway, in the Dallas Creek Divide in Colorado. There is a creek that runs along the tree line too! There is even a beautiful hike to a lake up the road, and we could get photos at the creek up the road as well! (the Dallas Divide is about a 6 to 7 hour drive from Denver, Colorado).
4. A campground in Telluride, Colorado - this is one of my favorite campgrounds I have ever been to! We can tell you the best time to go if you want to see the aspen trees yellow in their prime like in the photo above (in the fall), and we know the best site number at this particular campsite to reserve so that you can just walk up a little hill from the site and have your own private sweeping view of mountains and trees. I will say that when I saw this place, I thought wow this would be an amazing place to get married! My boyfriend and I aren't married yet, but when we do, this would be one of the places that I would highly consider. It is private and quiet, no people around, and just absolutely stunning views, you only see trees and mountains! It's unbelievable that this location and these views are just a 1 minute walk up the hill from this particular site. (this campground in Telluride is about a 6-7 hour drive from Denver, Colorado).
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to inquire about a wedding package.

My brother Jason and his girlfriend Darcy were visiting her mom in Santa Fe, New Mexico, so I drove down from Denver, about a 6 hour drive away. I was so glad that I could just drive there to visit them for a few days. I picked them up from the Albuquerque airport at about 11 in the morning and then we went to a BBQ place called County Line BBQ. After they got to rest a bit (since they had taken an overnight flight from Hawaii), we went to a little town called Madrid that Darcy wanted us to see, a cute tiny little town with lots of fun shops, I got the cutest Santa Fe looking purse for only $10 while we were there. On our way back, Darcy wanted to stop in another even smaller ghost town called Los Cerrillos, and there really was no one there, we didn't see any cars on the road while we were there, and only like 2 people! So we decided to take some photos while we had the little town to ourselves. Jason and Darcy got engaged in Hawaii, but are thinking about getting married in Santa Fe, New Mexico, so it was nice to get some engagement photos of them near there. They were a little jet lagged so they were maybe a little tired in the photos, but still look so photogenic as usual!

And now it's time to tell the love story of Kayla and Taylor Landrum with my photos....I hope you like them as much as the couple and I do :)

The wedding was inside the beautiful Claremont Inn & Winery just off the I-70, and what a beautiful building with tall ceilings and beautiful tall windows!! Beautiful marble floors when you first walk in, and all the guests (about 30 guests total) stayed at the Claremont Inn for 2 nights over the weekend of the wedding. I really thought this was a neat idea for all the guests to get to stay at the wedding location. There were room upstairs and rooms down below the main floor, and also a nice kitchen and bar area that the guests where everyone could dine. They even gave me coffee when I arrived! Very nice staff and he even showed me around and provided nice photography location recommendations. We didn't get to take any photos outside because it was so windy and cold, but it wasn't needed because inside was such a beautiful setting for photos. From the arches on the second floor which made for great photos from down below, to the fireplace with a huge mirror above, and the windows on the second floor made for nice photos as well.
Grace and Angel had met more than 10 years before getting married, and they were delightful to take photos of, as well as their family. I love seeing being able to capture love, and letting my photos tell their unique love story... :)
